Find Things to Do: The choice is yours!

The Hershey PR Team welcomes in-person visits from local, regional, national and international media. We’re happy to accommodate the needs of working media while also respecting the privacy of our guests.

Our Guidelines

Media Policies

Family Fun at Hersheypark

We’re in the business of providing guests with world-class hospitality and service, so we’ve established guidelines to ensure that we accommodate media requests while also respecting the privacy of our guests and allowing them to have the experience they want to have in Hershey, too.

We encourage you to become familiar with our policies regarding access to our properties, “comps,” and photography and filming, and we thank you for your adherence to these policies.

What Is Our Definition of “Working Media”?

  • The Hershey PR Team is able to assist working members of the media on assignment. This includes only the editorial side of news outlets – reporters, writers, editors, authors, photographers, producers, news directors, on-air personalities, television and film crews, bloggers, and freelancers.
  • The courtesies are only intended for working members of the editorial side of media. They are not intended for account executives, advertising representatives, traffic managers and the like.
  • Any member of the media seeking “comps” of any kind or intending to photograph or videotape at our properties must contact the Hershey PR Team in advance of the visit. (See below for instructions).
  • Local media should contact us at least 48 hours in advance of a visit.
  • Regional, national and international media should provide at least two weeks’ notice.

Regional, National and International Media Visits

  • Regional, national and international media seeking assistance in planning a multi-day or overnight visit to the destination should contact Mindy Bianca at 717-520-5574 or mbianca@HersheyPA.com.
  • Mindy will outline our policies about complimentary and/or media rates for overnight stays, meals, Spa and Country Club access, and admission to local attractions.
  • She’ll then assign a member of the PR Team to coordinate your visit. That PR ambassador will be your contact for the duration of the project. That representative will help you plan your visit, be available to you during your stay and assist you with follow-up.

The BoardwalkLocal Media Visits

  • Members of the local media planning visits to a Hershey Entertainment & Resorts property may contact the appropriate member of the PR Team to arrange the visit.
  • To determine which PR Team member handles your area of interest, please go here.

General Policies

  • Media representatives who arrive at any of our properties without making prior arrangements with the PR Team will be denied access.
  • Guests cannot be interviewed, photographed or filmed without prior approval of those guests and the PR Team.
  • Media are not permitted on property for an organization’s meeting or convention unless a representative of that organization has contacted Kay Maghan at 717-534-3396 or kmmaghan@HersheyPA.com in advance of the visit.

Rules for Photography and Videography

  • All photographers or film crews must be escorted by a member of the Hershey PR Team at all times.
  • Shoot approval and arrangements for escorts must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the visit for local crews and at least two weeks in advance of the visit for regional, national and international crews.
  • Local media may go here to determine the appropriate member of the Hershey PR Team to contact.
  • Regional, national and international media should contact Mindy Bianca at 717-520-5574 or mbianca@HersheyPA.com at least two weeks in advance of the proposed visit.
  • We have some special policies for The Spa At The Hotel Hershey:
        • All photography and videotaping of the Spa, including treatments and interior shots, must be done at the convenience of our guests and at the discretion of the Spa director. Most shoots must occur before or after Spa hours (ending by 8 AM and/or beginning no earlier than 8 PM) so they do not interrupt or disturb our guests.
        • For photography and videotaping, we offer abbreviated versions of our treatments.
        • You may bring a “model” to be photographed or videotaped. If you cannot provide your own model, we will assist you. Please allow at least one week’s notice for this.

Fahrenheit Concerts, Shows and Events

  • All media interested in covering events at Giant Center, Hersheypark Stadium or Hersheypark Star Pavilion should contact Melissa Stradnick at 717-534-8945 or mstradnick@HersheyPA.com. She will provide details about policies specific to event coverage.
  • Requests to interview performers will be handled on an event-by-event basis and must be filtered through the promoter for approval and restrictions. To make these arrangements, media must contact Melissa at least one month prior to the performance.
  • Press credentials are reserved for working members of the editorial side of the media and must be requested at least one week in advance of the event.
