Debra Sardinha-Metivier
Chef Debra Sardinha-Metivier is well known throughout th e culinary
community. She was the first woman executive chef in the Hilton Hotel
chain in the Caribbean and the Americas and was the executive chef
at the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Center from May 1997 through
December 2003.
She is currently the host of Bon Monage, which showcases Caribbean
cuisine on Trinidad television, and was featured on The Today Show
with Al Roker, representing Trinidad and Tobago’s traditional
foods during the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week
in New York City. She also has participated in preparing a Caribbean
luncheon for the Duke of Wales and was part of a team of celebrity
chefs from Trinidad and Tobago whose responsibilities included preparing
hors d’oeuvres for the World Travel Market in London.
