Theodore (Ted) J. Kleisner

Theodore (Ted) J. Kleisner
Ted served as President & CEO from January 2007 to November 2010, and continues to hold the CEO position of the company. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Kleisner served as the President & CEO of the Greenbrier Resort and Club Management Company, a business unit of CSX Corporation, which owns and manages resorts, clubs, and real estate developments in West Virginia, The Turks & Caicos Islands BWI, Florida, The Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and Bermuda.

William F. Simpson, Jr.

William F. Simpson, Jr.
William was named President & Chief Operating Officer in November 2010.  Prior to that he was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer from February to October 2010.  From April 2002, Mr. Simpson was Vice President of Entertainment Group. In 1996, he joined the company as General Manager of the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center. Before coming to the company, Mr. Simpson held various positions with the following resort properties: Williamsburg Inn, Kingsmill Resort, Gaylord Hotel, Nashville, and Hyatt Hotels.

 

Kimberly K. Schaller

Kimberly K. Schaller
Kimberly Schaller was named Executive Vice President in February 2010 after serving as VP/CMO since February 2004. Kimberly oversees the Marketing responsibilities for the organization, in addition to cross-company entertainment and Hershey Destination Services. Kim held various marketing positions between 1985 and 1993, with an intermittent departure from HE&R from 1994 to 1995 where she was the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Space Center Houston, Houston, Texas.

Nathan C. Douty

Nathan C. Douty
Nathan was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources, in February 2000. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Douty was Managing Director, Human Resources. From 1984 to 1998 he was Manager, and later Director, of Compensation & Benefits. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Douty was employed by Hall’s Motor Transit Company from 1979 to 1984, where he held the positions of Personnel Director and Employee Benefits Director.

Lisa M. Hultquist

Garrett F. Gallia
Garrett F. Gallia, Associate Vice President of Communications & Corporate Relations, oversees the communications that build the corporate brand and directs external relationships that help the company achieve its goals. Garrett, a graduate of Villanova University and Duquesne University School of Law, has been with the company since 1998 serving in various areas within the government relations, legal, and communications disciplines. Prior to joining the company, Garrett was a Deputy Attorney General for Pennsylvania – where he represented the Commonwealth in a number of prominent antitrust cases.

Lisa M. Hultquist

Lisa M. Hultquist
Lisa Hultquist was named Associate Vice President of Marketing in October 2010 after serving most recently as Managing Director of Marketing & Brand Integration since December 2006. Lisa, a graduate of the University of Delaware, has been part of the Marketing organization for 18 years holding various positions, and has played a key strategic role in making this valuable internal resource what it is today. She oversees day-to-day Marketing focused on driving revenues, creating awareness, and enhancing the Hershey brand.  

David P. Lavery

David P. Lavery
David became Chief Financial Officer, Secretary/Treasurer in August 1997 and was promoted to Vice President in February 1998. In February of 2004 he was assigned responsibility for the Company’s Commercial Group. Prior to becoming the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Lavery had been the General Manager, Hersheypark Arena & Stadium since February 1996. Mr. Lavery also served the Company as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, Budget Director/Financial Analyst from 1990 to 1993 and then as Managing Director, Finance Hersheypark Group from 1993 to 1996.

John K. Lawn

John K. Lawn
John Lawn began his employment at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts in 2004 as the Director of Food and Beverage for Hersheypark and was promoted to various positions. He was promoted to his current position as Vice President of Operations in 2010. John is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College, and before joining HE&R, worked with clients at Yankee Stadium, FedExField, and the Men's US Open Championships, among other sporting venues and premier hospitality events throughout the country.

Franklin A. Miles, Jr.

Franklin A. Miles, Jr.
Franklin joined the company in January 2000 as Secretary and General Counsel. He was promoted to Vice President in February 2001. Mr. Miles was admitted to the practice of law in 1981, and was a partner with the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania law firm of McNees, Wallace & Nurick, where he served as Chair of the firm’s Technology & Intellectual Property Group.
