William F. Simpson, Jr.
Bill was named Chief Executive Officer in January 2013 and continues to hold the President position of the company. He was named President & Chief Operating Officer in November 2010. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer from February to October 2010. From April 2002, Bill was Vice President of the Entertainment Group. In 1996, he joined the company as General Manager of Hershey® Lodge & Convention Center. Before coming to the company, Bill held various positions with the following resort properties: Williamsburg Inn, Kingsmill Resort, Gaylord Hotel, Nashville, and Hyatt Hotels.
Garrett F. Gallia
Garrett was named Vice President of Communications & Corporate Relations in February 2012. In that capacity, he oversees the communications that build the corporate brand and directs external relationships that help the company achieve its goals. Garrett, a graduate of Villanova University and Duquesne University School of Law, has been with the company since 1998 serving in various areas within the government relations, legal, and communications disciplines. Prior to joining the company, Garrett was a Deputy Attorney General for Pennsylvania – where he represented the Commonwealth in a number of prominent antitrust cases.
Andy was named Vice President, Human Resources, in January 2014. Andy began his career with HE&R in 1984 at Hersheypark, and held various positions in the Foods Department at the Park over the next 8 years. In 1992, he began his management career as Food Service Personnel Coordinator. Throughout his more than 20 year career at HE&R, Andy has held a variety of positions, including Manager Compensation/HRIS and Assistant General Manager of the Entertainment Complex. Prior to becoming the company’s Vice President, Human Resources, Andy served as Managing Director of Human Resources.
David P. Lavery
Dave was named Chief Financial Officer, Secretary/Treasurer in August 1997 and was promoted to Vice President in February 1998. In February of 2004 he was assigned responsibility for the company’s Commercial Group. Prior to becoming the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Dave had been the General Manager, Hersheypark® Arena & Stadium since February 1996. He also served the company as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, Budget Director/Financial Analyst from 1990 to 1993 and then as Managing Director, Finance Hersheypark® Group from 1993 to 1996.
John K. Lawn
John was named Vice President of Operations in November 2010, having previously served as Associate Vice President of Operations and other leadership positions in the Entertainment division, including Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant General Manager of Hersheypark. John is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College, and before joining HE&R, worked with clients at Yankee Stadium, FedEx Field, and the Men’s US Open Championships, among other sporting venues and premier hospitality events throughout the country.
Franklin A. Miles, Jr.
Frank was named Secretary & General Counsel in January 2000 and was promoted to Vice President in February 2001. Frank was admitted to the practice of law in 1981, and was a partner with the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania law firm of McNees, Wallace & Nurick, where he served as Chair of the firm’s Technology & Intellectual Property Group.
